"Hey everyone, we will be back at one of our favorite bars in Appleton. That of course is McGuinness Irish Pub. Come on out for a night of Irish rock shenanigans. We play our own contemporary versions of traditional Irish songs and sea shanties, as well as covers from bands such as Dropkick Murphy's, Flogging Molly, Gaelic Storm, and more."

Derek Byrne brings his kick ass Celtic Bluegrass back to the pub. If you want foot stomping traditional Irish drinking songs, Bluegrass standards and plenty of craic join us on our last night of celebrating Halfway to St. Patrick's day.

Fri Sep 25 & Sat Sep 26 - Appleton Octoberfest

Octoberfest weekend kicks off with License to Cruise, a classic car show on Friday night at 6 p.m. Complete with about 400 classic cars, live music and great food, you won't want to miss one of Appleton's largest car shows.

On Saturday, come to Appleton's largest block party. Entertainment starts as early as 9 a.m., the full band line up is available on the entertainment page. Arts and Crafts and the Family Fun area are also available at 9 a.m. And, don't forget about all the great food booths; local not-for-profits put in a lot of time and hard work to raise money for their organizations during this one day event.

Remember...bring your ID if you plan to purchase beer tickets. Everyone will be carded. Beer ticket sales are from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Beer sales end at 5:30 p.m. and the event ends at 6 p.m.

The Fox River Hurling Club is in the middle of our outdoor season . You can visit the Fox River Hurling Club website for more information. Come check out the fastest game on grass which has been around for over 2000 years and is the national sport of Ireland.
